It was years ago that Accompong News started warning maroons of Accompong and the rest of the world about the works of Timothy McPherson.
McPherson who had a close relationship with Ferron Williams from the best of our knowledge is a former banker who resided and worked in Germany.
To what we know, based on information over the years, McPherson visited Accompong heard about our glorious history and as it appears decided to capitalize on the global standings of the sovereign state of Accompong.
It has been a roller coaster ride since, with revelations from a team of maroons(#MOSS) working with then office of the Secretary of State of Accompong, of a banking scam of epic proportions developing out of the relationship McPherson had with former colonel of Accompong maroons Ferron Williams.
At times it appeared that things were great between Williams and McPherson, but there was tension, bad vibes as time went on. Williams who was present at a ground breaking for a building purported by McPherson to be a bank fell out love with McPherson.
By 2019 news began coming out of Jamaican media that a bank was in Accompong and maroons had their own money, the Lumi. However, Ferron Williams denied this, claiming the building was a gift to him and upon him leaving office or dying would go to his family. This came as a surprise to his deputy at the time deputy Colonel Honourable Melville Currie who participated in the traditional maroon ground breaking. We understand that Dep Col Currie was not amused in the least about what was a scandal playing out in the Jamaican media.
On February 18, 2021 a new Head of State for Accompong was elected Chief Richard Currie. Accompong News understands that contact was made between Chief Currie and Timothy McPherson and the Chief instructed McPherson to cease and desist all matters of the Lumi and the #CSRB, bank of Accompong and bring all documentations in relation to Accompong for review.
Accompong News understands that MOSS has activated an investigation into several issues surrounding the fictitious bank.
On March 4, 2021, Chief Richard Currie ended any affiliation that Accompong had with the unlawful currency #LUMI and the fictitious bank in Accompong by issuing an executive action and disassociating Accompong from Timothy McPherson and his associates.
