Bankole Yao Jojo Ahadzie (Banky) is a 43-year-old Internet Engineer born in the capital city of The Gambia, Banjul, has his eyes set on becoming President of Gambia.
At his first news conference Ras Banky announced he would legalize weed if elected as other African nations are already making billions from weed exportation. Through journalist, Banky told Gambians they should not judge him by his hairstyle and that they should listen to what focus on his manifesto and how he can change lives when elected.
Ras Banky made it clear that as an independent candidate his intentions are anchored on five cardinal pillars, free education, one-term presidency, creating jobs with decent salaries, development by us for us, and the empowerment of 1 billion Gambian dalasi($20million) fund in sports.
With the endorsement of the Rastafari community of Gambia already in the bag, there’s an expectation that the youths will gravitate towards the Rasta candidate. “A lot of youths have given up on the system going through the ‘back way’ illegal route to Europe. The young people want change and they could not see anyone to identify themselves with. We are here to change the narrative”, said Banky.
When asked his position on marijuana, Banky said he’ll endorse legalization.
